St. Louis-based RubinBrown, one of the nation’s top 50 accounting and business consulting firms, announced today the opening of a new office, effective June 1, in Nashville, Tenn. The new office will begin focusing on serving clients in the real estate industry throughout Tennessee. The announcement was made by RubinBrown’s managing partner, John Herber, CPA, and Bryan Keller, CPA, partner-in-charge of RubinBrown’s Real Estate Services Group.
“Nashville is a city that RubinBrown has been looking at for years,” said Herber. “We recognize an increasing need for our specialized real estate services and, along with the dynamic growth in Nashville and throughout the entire state of Tennessee, this makes the opening of an office here a fantastic business opportunity. We certainly will add services and staff as our firm grows the client base.”
RubinBrown’s Real Estate Services Group is a national practice serving real estate developers, investors, syndication firms, state housing agencies, investment banks, construction companies, homebuilders, lenders and others throughout the United States. The group is a recognized leader in services related to affordable housing, Low-Income Housing Tax Credits, New Markets Tax Credits, Historic Rehabilitation Tax Credits, Investment Funds and HUD.
“We’ve heard from several of our Nashville-based clients that RubinBrown should open an office here to help serve the market with our concentrated real estate expertise,” said Keller, who will split his time between offices. “We’ve found that beyond a significant growth opportunity, there is a tremendous entrepreneurial spirit and energy at work here.”
Relocating from St. Louis to lead the Nashville office is Amy Broadwater, CPA, who currently serves as partner in RubinBrown’s Real Estate Services Group. She provides tax and consulting services to real estate clients, specializing in affordable housing tax credit projects, historic rehabilitation projects, New Markets Tax Credit projects, renewable energy projects and real estate investment funds. Broadwater is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Tennessee Society of Certified Public Accountants, Missouri Society of Certified Public Accountants, and the Affordable Housing Tax Credit Coalition Membership Committee.
