Steve Newstead is the Partner-in-Charge of Strategic Client Development at RubinBrown.  He has over 30 years of Public Accounting and Industry Internal Audit experience.  His experience includes thirteen years as Second Vice President of Internal Auditing at a Fortune 500 Company where he managed a staff of professionals in ‘value added’ financial, operational and information technology services.  

Steve has developed comprehensive enterprise risk assessment models and strategic internal audit plans. He is an expert in Internal Audit and has helped public companies comply with Sarbanes-Oxley and private organizations implement ‘SOX-like’ practices.  He is a business partner to senior management as they assess business processes and internal controls and identify practical recommendations to improve their business operations.  Steve also spent three years as internal audit manager for ITT Financial Corporation and six years as an audit manager for Ernst & Young.
