Audrey Katcher, CPA, CISA, CITP, and partner of RubinBrown’s Business Advisory Services Group was honored as a 2017 University of Missouri – St. Louis Trailblazer. Katcher was recognized yesterday at the 22nd Annual Trailblazer Ceremony at UMSL, celebrating influential women in labor and business.
UMSL has recognized female Trailblazers during Women’s History Month since 1995. The ceremony recognizes women for being the first to occupy positions traditionally held by men, who were trailblazers in their fields, or who have made noteworthy contributions to the university, their profession or both.
With more than 25 years of experience, Katcher currently serves as partner of RubinBrown’s Business Advisory Services Group, overseeing the group’s internal audit services, information technology risk services, and third party assurance, cyber attest and service organizations controls services.
Katcher received her BSBA in accounting from UMSL in December 1989. She started her career as a financial public accounting staff in 1992, and quickly took the opportunity to increase her training and focus on information technology controls. With this skillset, she went on to lead development of global IT control methodology for Sarbanes Oxley and provide global leadership for Year 2000 and e-market initiatives.
Since 2010, Katcher has been a contributing author of the guidance for testing security between companies. Today, she is a significant contributor on cyber risk management principals and methodology for the American Institute of Certified Personal Accountants (AICPA).
Katcher serves on the AICPA Board of Examiners and the Trust Information Integrity Task Force, the Missouri Society of CPAs Board, the St. Louis Symphony Corporate Partners Steering Committee, and the St. Louis Club House Committee.
