RubinBrown offers a Qualified High Deductible Health Plan through Anthem BCBC, used in conjunction with a Health Savings Account. The plan includes prescription drug coverage along with in and out of network medical coverage. New team members are eligible for benefits beginning on the first of the month following thirty (30) days of service.
Team Members have the option to elect one of two dental plans through Delta Dental. Both plans offer 100% coverage for preventive services (basic exam every six months) along with coverage for minor restorative and major services after meeting the annual deductible. New team members are eligible for benefits beginning on the first of the month following thirty (30) days of service.
The vision insurance plan provided by Delta Vision offers team members a routine vision exam, eyeglass lenses or contact lenses every 12 months and frames every 24 months. New team members are eligible for benefits beginning on the first of the month following thirty (30) days of service.
Health Savings Account (HSA):
HSAs enable you to pay for current health expenses and save for future qualified medical and retiree health expenses on a tax-free basis. In 2012, this account allows you to make pre-tax contributions if enrolled in a 3250 Qualified High Deductible Health Plan to pay for non-reimbursed health expenses up to $3,100 if enrolled in an individual health plan or $6,450 if enrolled in a family health plan. If over age 55, you may make “catch-up” contributions up to $1,000 per calendar year. HSA funds roll from year to year and depending on the account can earn interest or can even be invested! All investment earnings are tax-free for the employee and HSA money is tax-free as long as it is used to pay for any qualified health care expense.
Identity Theft Insurance:
RubinBrown offers Identity Theft Insurance for a comprehensive and proactive defense against fraudulent activity. Team members and families are eligible for this benefit provided by Zander Insurance Group. New team members are eligible for benefits beginning on the first of the month following thirty (30) days of service.
RubinBrown offers Long Term Care insurance for illness, accident or age-related causes. Team members, spouses, parents, grandparents and siblings are eligible for this coverage provided by UNUM. New team members are eligible for benefits beginning on the first of the month following thirty (30) days of service.
Life Insurance / AD&D:
RubinBrown offers a Basic Life and AD&D policy for all team members valued at three times their annual salary (up to $200,000) at no cost. In addition to the Basic policy, team members are also able to purchase additional Life and AD&D products for themselves and their families. New team members are eligible for benefits beginning on the first of the month following thirty (30) days of service.
Paid Time Off:
RubinBrown realizes the importance of supporting team members as they strive to achieve balance between work, life,and family activities and interests. Full-time and Flexible Work Program team members are provided Paid Time Off (PTO) in accordance with the guidelines established below. The Firm’s PTO policy is applicable to all non-Management Group team members. Members of Management Group should use this policy as a guideline in managing their schedule.
- 30 days after 10 years of service
- 25 days after 3 years of service
- 20 days after 1 year of service
- New hires are immediately granted PTO based on the month in which they are hired (e.g. one full day of PTO is granted for each month of employment through the following May 31st)
- New hires to the Flexible Work Program receive a percentage of PTO as calculated based on projected hours
RubinBrown observes the following paid holidays:
- New Year's Day
- Memorial Day
- Independence Day
- Labor Day
- Thanksgiving and the day after
The RubinBrown Savings Trust is an excellent way for you to set aside money on a short-term basis for a variety of future spending needs. It has many of the characteristics of traditional money market accounts available at banks, brokerage houses, and other financial institutions, but in many instances its investment yield will be superior to those accounts. Team members and their immediate family members are eligible to participate at any time. Contributions to the Savings Trust can be made by payroll deductions of $25 or more or as a special lump sum deposit.
The RubinBrown Plan offers both a traditional 401(k) (pre-tax) and ROTH 401(k) (after-tax) savings allowing you to save money for retirement. Your allowable contribution is limited each year by the 402(g) statutory limit unless age 50 or above. If age 50 or above, you are may make additional “catch-up” contributions above the 402(g) limit.
Profit Sharing Plan:
The Firm contributes a percentage of eligible compensation to the plan for all eligible team members employed at June 30 who have completed two years of service, as defined in the Plan. You will have the opportunity to designate the manner in which the contributions made on your behalf will be invested.

Investment choices may be changed as often as you desire - even daily. The amount of your investment may be changed using the online team member self-service tool.

Hit the Gym!
Team Members employed by RubinBrown for at least 90 days are eligible to utilize the RubinBrown Wellness – Gym Membership Program. RubinBrown will pay for an annual gym membership (of the Team Member’s choice) to be repaid via payroll deduction over a period of twelve (12) months.
Computer Purchase Plan:
The Firm will finance the purchase of a personal computer (software/hardware) up to $3,000 interest-free. Repayments are deducted through payroll deductions each paycheck over a period of two years. In addition, RubinBrown team member discounts are available at several retail stores.
