Horizons - 2007 Tax Guide

Dec. 31 is getting closer, and soon an individual’s tax planning options may be limited, if not lost completely. The purpose of this RubinBrown Annual Tax Guide issue is to provide an overview of some tax planning strategies and rules that may help you reduce your overall taxes. This year’s guide highlights strategies available for families, executives, businesses, and retirees. Please remember, however, that this issue should not serve as a replacement for tax advice regarding your specific situation. Our tax partners will be pleased to discuss any of the ideas outlined in this guide or any other tax planning options that may be available to you.

This annual Tax Guide also contains sections dealing with recent tax law changes. As an example, in the section titled “Recent Tax Legislation,” you will find a review of recently enacted tax acts, such as the Small Business and Work Opportunity Tax Act of 2007 and the Pension Protection Act of 2006.

We hope you find RubinBrown’s annual Tax Guide helpful. For more information, please visit www.rubinbrown.com for executive summaries of the tax acts discussed above and for information on upcoming events, recent publications, and other relevant news about RubinBrown and our services.

Your feedback is always appreciated. Please feel free to call 314.290.3300 or e-mail us with your thoughts at john.herber@rubinbrown.com or steve.brown@rubinbrown.com. Pleasant reading!
