RubinBrown has hired Ben Barnes, CPA, as a manager in its Assurance Services Group.

As a member of the Assurance Services Group, Ben conducts audit and other assurance-related services for clients primarily in the manufacturing and distribution industry, as well as those within the services industry. He also provides transaction due diligence services to clients in the manufacturing and distribution, services, brokerage, private equity and financial services industries.

Ben also works on acquisition and disposition structuring, plan audits, internal accounting controls, business performance analysis, due diligence engagements, and merger, sale and acquisition planning. He specializes in GAAP accounting, financial statement and control audits, and transaction and diligence-related services in the manufacturing and distribution, services and financial services industries.

Ben has more than 10 years of experience in public accounting and the financial services industry. Prior to joining Rubin Brown, he served as an audit manager and a transaction services manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration and a master’s degree in accounting from Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas. He also is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Missouri Society of Certified Public Accountants.
