Compensation and Benefits
RubinBrown offers an extensive array of benefits to our team members.
We think you will find our benefits to be competitive with, if not more
comprehensive than, other companies' benefits in our area. Team members
are eligible to receive medical/dental coverage, long term disability,
and life insurance after 30 days of service. We offer team members
attractive options for retirement planning and savings, as well as
programs to enhance and balance career issues with personal needs. We

Paid Time Off (Including Vacation and Sick and Maternity Leaves)
It is the policy of RubinBrown to grant paid time off to full-time and
Flexible Work Program team members in accordance with the guidelines
established below. The Firm realizes the importance of supporting team
members as they strive to achieve balance among work, life and family
activities and interests. Team members are eligible for PTO as follows:

PTO is granted and based on length of service. PTO is computed each
year at May 31 and is based on the team member's status (i.e.,
full-time or Flexible Work Program team member) as of May 31. Tax
Season Only and Temporary team members are not eligible for PTO. PTO is
to be scheduled and taken, as appropriate, during the current fiscal
year (June 1 through May 31).
A maximum of 10 PTO days granted, but not used, may be carried over
to the next fiscal year and added to the team member's "PTO Bank." A
maximum of 45 days of unused PTO days may be accumulated.

401(k) Profit Sharing Retirement Plan
The Firm has established a profit sharing retirement plan, including
a 401(k) deferred compensation feature, for all team members. Team
members who are at least 21 years of age may participate in the 401(k)
plan immediately upon employment. The Firm contributes 5% of its net
income to the profit sharing plan for all eligible team members.
In addition, under the 401(k) option, eligible team members may
designate a portion of their earnings to be withheld from their
paychecks on a tax deferred basis to be contributed to the plan.
Participants have the opportunity to designate the manner in which the
contributions on their behalf will be invested. The plan currently
offers thirteen different investment options and allows team members to
change the amount of contributions on a quarterly basis. This plan also
allows instant access to make investment decisions online at any time.
RubinBrown SelectCare
The Firm offers an innovative, flexible team member benefit plan
called RubinBrown SelectCare. This plan allows participants to
voluntarily defer current compensation to pay for certain benefits on a
pretax basis. The plan offers the following elective benefits:
- Reimbursement of uninsured medical expenses incurred during a Plan Year
- Reimbursement of employment related dependent child care expenses incurred during a Plan Year
Each participant may choose to fund a Spending Account for any or
all of the aforementioned benefits. Compensation voluntarily deferred
will be withheld through payroll deductions and added to your Spending
Account. Amounts voluntarily deferred are not currently subject to
federal or state income taxes or social security taxes. Benefits will
be paid from your Spending Account upon submission of claim forms and
required supporting documentation.
Team Member Savings Plan
The Firm has a savings plan available for all eligible team members
providing competitive rates of return on personal savings.
Participation in the program is elective for each eligible team member.
Deposits to the savings trust can be made by payroll deductions, or
special deposits can be made on the 15th or the last day of any month.
Interest is calculated at the going rate, which is based upon the
published six month treasury bill rate.
Parking and Mileage Reimbursement
Team members are responsible for a small portion of the parking cost
at our Clayton office. This deduction can be made on a pretax basis
through our RubinBrown Transportation Fringe Benefit Plan. Team members
will be reimbursed for all other parking fees that are incurred during
the Firm's fiscal year. In addition, mileage beyond certain limits of
Clayton will be reimbursed in full.
Group Life Insurance
The carrier of the Firm's group term life insurance coverage is The
Guardian Insurance Company. Premiums are paid by the Firm. All team
members working 1,000 hours or more per calendar year are covered after
30 days of service with the Firm for 3 times the team member's annual
salary, up to a maximum of $200,000. The plan also provides accidental
death and dismemberment benefits. The current schedule of insurance is
based on team member's annual earnings and age.
Hospitalization/Major Medical/Dental
Insurance covering hospitalization, major medical and dental care is
provided for all team members working 1,000 hours or more per calendar
year, through United HealthCare Choice Plus and The Guardian Dental
Plan. It covers the team member (dependent coverage is optional) for
in-hospital benefits, in addition to $1,000,000 in major medical
benefits. It also covers comprehensive dental expenses. All full-time
team members are covered after 30 days of service with the Firm.
Payroll deductions are made for the team member's minimal portion of
the monthly premium and for dependent coverage, if desired.
Long-Term Disability Insurance
RubinBrown offers a voluntary long-term disability insurance plan to
all team members working 1,000 hours or more per calendar year. The
plan protects you against financial disaster in the event of extended
disability. It provides 50% of your salary up to a maximum of $5,000
per month, payable after the completion of a 90 day elimination period.
Computer Purchase Plan
The Firm will finance the purchase of a personal computer
(software/hardware) up to $3,000 interest-free. Repayments are deducted
through payroll deductions each paycheck over a period of two years.

retail stores.

RubinBrown's Continuing Education Program provides the basis for the
educational growth of each team member. The program is designed to
promote and maintain the level of knowledge necessary to perform as a
CPA or business consultant.
RubinBrown augments the education of our people with seminars and
courses offered through a comprehensive curriculum of training
programs. Programs are designed to assist team members in developing
and maintaining the high levels of knowledge necessary to perform our
job efficiently. Training sessions are taught primarily by partners and
managers of the firm. Our first year team members receive over 75 hours
of technical training in the areas of accounting and auditing,
taxation, business consulting and computers. Training provided to our
team members in subsequent years exceeds 50 hours annually.
We also provide a series of Entrepreneurship Seminars, whereby
clients of the Firm speak to our team members about their respective
businesses. These seminars allow our team members to learn "hands on"
certain business skills and philosophies important in better serving
and understanding our clients.

and devotes a substantial amount of the firm's operating budget to
