ST. LOUIS, Feb. 2007 St. Patrick Center selected John F. Herber Jr., CPA, managing partner of RubinBrown, as the first ever member of its Sports Trivia Championship All-Stars. As someone who is active in the community and an avid sports buff, John made an exemplary choice for the very first Sports Trivia Championship All-Star, said Dan Buck, CEO of St. Patrick Center. He found a way to help others through his love of sports. Herber helped to establish the trivia championship event and served as the event chair for its first three years. He also has served on the board of the Life Crisis Center and is the former treasurer of the St. Richard Parish Athletic Association. In addition, Herber coaches St. Richard's boys' basketball team. The Sports Trivia Championship is a very good opportunity to be involved with an innovative charitable St. Louis event and to grow the circle of support for St. Patrick Center, said Herber. St. Patrick Center is what it's all about; we help them do what they do best helping others. The championship's executive team selected Herber for the award based upon his extensive work to increase awareness, support and revenue for the event. He received on-stage recognition during the opening ceremonies of St. Patrick Center's fourth annual Sports Expo and Trivia Championship this month at the Scottrade Center, as well as a feature in the official event program. |
