In the first quarter of 2015, the United States commercial gaming industry generated $9.53 billion in gaming revenue, growing at a rate of 3.0 percent compared to the first quarter of 2014. The growth in revenue is notable as it is not primarily attributed to the expansion of gaming into new markets.
