During 2010, physicians had to deal with the uncertainty of the Medicare physician fee schedule being cut by 25%. In an effort to provide a level of certainty for 2011, Congress passed and the President signed the Medicare and Medicaid Extenders Act of 2010. This law will delay a 25% cut to the physician fee schedule for one year.
