RubinBrown, one of the nation’s top 50 accounting and business consulting firms, recently announced several significant leadership promotions.
Steven Brown,
CPA, was named Vice Chairman of the firm. In this role, he will work directly with the Chairman on strategic opportunities, governance matters and recruiting high level talent to the firm. Steven is a Partner, Baker Tilly International Contact Partner and Chairman of RubinBrown’s Tax Services Group. He is a lecturer at various tax seminars and conferences. Steven co-authored “S Corporations’ Charitable Contributions of Appreciated Property” which appeared in the March 2008 edition of the Tax Adviser. He is a frequent contributor of articles to various tax publications and has made numerous appearances on live broadcasts as a tax expert. Steven joined the firm in 1980.
Ken Van Bree, CPA, CGMA, was named as Vice Chair of Industry Groups for RubinBrown. In his new role, Ken will assist the current Chair of Industry Groups with strategic direction and oversight of the firm’s industry groups. Ken is a Partner in RubinBrown’s Assurance Services and Entrepreneurial Services Groups and is the Partner-In-Charge of the Construction Services Group. He specializes in financial, operational and plan audits and also provides general business advisory services. Ken joined RubinBrown in 2004.
