RubinBrown, one of nation’s top 50 accounting and business consulting firms, recently promoted Jonathan Ahrens, CPA, CIA, John Drury, CPA, and David Schomer, CFA, CPA, to manager positions within the Business Advisory Services Group. John Herber, CPA, CGMA, chairman of RubinBrown and Fred Kostecki, CPA, CGMA, St. Louis office managing partner, made the announcement.
Jonathan Ahrens maintains focus on internal audit and risk services. He brings his industry knowledge and expertise to a diverse client base representing both large public and privately held organizations. He performs financial and operational internal audits, including process improvement projects for clients in various industries. His experience includes successfully executing the completion of numerous operational internal audit reviews including payroll, purchasing and cash controls. Furthermore, he has successfully executed SOX controls effectiveness testing within many different industries and the successful completion of QAE projects.
John Drury maintains a focus on the life sciences and health care industries. He works with clients to complete internal audits and process reviews, including Sarbanes-Oxley compliance testing as well as litigation support. In addition, he performs internal procedural reviews in an attempt to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of internal processes for his clients. He has been at RubinBrown since 2013.
David Schomer provides merger and acquisition due diligence services to clients in a variety of industries as part of RubinBrown’s Private Equity Services Group. He also specializes in fraud and forensic investigations with experience in cases involving the Securities and Exchange Commission and U.S. Department of Justice. He has consulting experience that includes Ponzi scheme investigations, lost profits analysis, financial forecasting, misappropriation of assets and/or intellectual property, patent infringement, valuation of businesses and business interests, and process improvement.
