Founded in 2006, and governed equally by American Express, Discover, JCB International, Mastercard, and Visa, the PCI Security Standards Council sets forth the requirements and conducts the training for companies seeking to become Qualified Security Assessors. The PCI SSC qualifies QSA organizations to perform audits in accordance with the PCI DSS.
